Does silver-plated jewellery tarnish, and how do I care for it?
It will darken slowly with exposure to air, moisture and perfume, which is normal. Keep pieces dry, put jewellery on after perfume rather than before, store them in a soft pouch away from humidity, and wipe with a dry cloth after wear. An antique-polished piece is meant to deepen slightly with age. Over years of heavy wear the plating can thin at contact points, and the atelier can re-polish a piece for you.
Is silver-plated jewellery safe for sensitive skin?
What sits against your skin is the plated finish, which most people wear without any trouble. If you know you react to plated or costume jewellery, tell the atelier before ordering and say which pieces stay on longest.
